The 12th of Never

you ask how long I will stay with you
you feel that I might drift away,
will I always be here and true
I will promise you each and every day

as long as there is a moon above
and stars continue to fill the skies,
I promise this to you my love
the stars will fill my lonely eyes

although the constellations slip unseen
every night they do return,
you'll find them somewhere in between
the light and dark you learn

you ask how long I will stay with you
I need an answer both true and clever,
this I swear and pledge to you
I will be with you until the 12th of never
