You could try to scratch a living
or just scratch your initials
on the walls of asylums

we're not that being in
that being that we're not,
and what does that mean?
ah
the mirror speaks the truth
but the glass is often fogged.

it's like they used a blender on my brain cells
she screams Kenwood? but my name is John
and all I hear are the bells and so It carries on.

it'll settle down
and
I'll settle in to writing my life
on the point of a pin.
