None in their right mind knew what she looked like
Without all the paint on her face
From morning to noon till late in the night
Applied her makeup like decorating a cake

Then there's the wigs in which her head lived
From yellow to pink to chartreuse
If you saw the real her, you'd have to accrue
Who stood before you, you hadn't a clue

There wasn't a thing that she was hiding
Just couldn't get enough of playing dress up
She wasn't lying or even denying
To her true beauty was just adding more looks

And the dresses she adorned was like a night at the prom
Had her dancing to life by ballroom
Yet never lucky enough to fall in love
Left way too fast, gone way too soon

Buried without much of a fanfare
Although she had done quite a run
It's not that people there didn't care
They just had no idea who she really was
