He was a great man
His family came first,
no matter the life plan
A loving grandfather,
with old fashioned values and rules
A respected man in England
and the Cypriot Cyprus land
There all of my adult life
Our family gatherings,
you certainly knew how to cook,
on the Turkish barbecue
I learnt all of my cooking from you
I know how to definitely,
make my own barbecue
Not many women I have met,
can burn the charcoal,
but Carol knows because the grandfather,
taught her goals
Watermelons when we visited the village
I can still see you carrying them,
one in each hand with no spillage,
as we returned to the main house,
from the visit to the village
Your grandson loved your flap cap,
it made him laugh,
even though blindness is in his path
My parents, you and your wife,
loved us all without conditions in life
My father passed before you,
but you always held me in your hand too
TanrΔ± ruhunu korusun
Rest in peace,
my love for you will never cease
