A storm approached
Alone in the middle of the field
Lightning striking everywhere
Then there was a loud crack
Scared with fear
There was a storm near
Through the mind of thought, would the lightning strike me?
The rain poured in heavy showers
Thunder roared as if Heaven’s fiery
I felt the need to surrender myself
Wonder circulated through my mind
I found myself looking yonder amidst the skies
All I saw was overcast, flashing of lightning and rain
Was this my kingdom come?
I started singing spiritual
Help me get along
Without warning, the storm seemed to ease down
A rainbow appeared along with the sun
I was allowed to be alive and still among
My call from Heaven to Earth
Fate being an understanding
Danger on caution
One thing that will always remain is assurance
The skies lesson
Be obedience and influence
Accept or be unaccepted
The skies watch and observe
One lesson at a time
Tears with thanks
Look up with hope
More than just words
Reflection and redemption
Words well taken
For told in behold
Solid ground my threshold
