Mar 2023
There’s darkness outside
With just a glimmer of light
Slowly the darkness cedes
Traffic is slowly moving
The morning has begun
Coffee and tea being made
The quiet of night being replaced
By familiar noises
The sun begins to rise
A bright golden ball
It’s a glorious sight
As it goes higher and higher
Another morning has arrived
As the city wakes up once again
To start anew
