On some other level
Disheveled
And gray
And forlorn
In my mourning
My love led astray
Is the way
I was born
Winter storm
Summer haze
And adorned
In light rays
On my darkest of days
Although torn
From the warning signs
Tempting surrender
I passed all the tests
But I failed to remember
The chapter,
The captured
Enraptured
Most turning
Of pages I’ve wept
In the oceans of yearning
For once again home,
One last from it
To roam
And in all of finality
Finally known
