Good bye to the hot sensations of summer
That make us say hello to the cold rising of the fall
As I welcome you,
I give my farewell to the past.

What was once mutual possession
No longer exists to the present being gifted to us.
The reflections once shared so clearly,
Now, the solitude of transformation.

I accept you with open arms
But you give an embrace of bitter being
Moments of giving heart felt precision
Leave only open feelings of inadequate decision.

As you make your way around to the center,
The path must still be followed,
Leading us to the obscure direction of change.
Time intervenes and the moment awaits.
This is the day that we recognize
The alternating of the season.
