So there is a statue of Confucius On the campus of my alma mater George Mason University In Fairfax, Virginia.
It was given to GMU From an Institute in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Where my roommate from another school James Madison University Works for Business for Social Respinsibility
When I was a teacher in Taipei I attended a ceremony At the Confucian temple In honor of Confucius on his birthday. National Teacher's Day in Taiwan
Probably because I was brought up Catholic I talk to statues. So I stop by to talk with Confucius:

China is a great ancient civilization Beautiful architecture, great food, Amazing achievements in science, art, dance, Fire works, kung fu, the poetry of Cold Mountain, delicious dim sum, the Way, etc...
But not always so respectful of the freedom and dignity of ordinary Chinese people
