The Chicago River goes green
I sing the Songs of Experience
Like William Blake
I have no apologies to make
I'm with you, Bob
But I also have old fashioned Catholic guilt
And embarrassing sins
So I remember Chicago soul
And I pray to the Lady of the Lake
Marguerite Porete
Surely no fake
Standin' by God's river
My soul begins to shake
Not Sir Walter Raleigh
Not Francis Drake
Tupac Amaru!
