Dec 2022
It was snowing when I was in Vienna
Cathedral, bookshops, hot chocolate
A bit of a fairy tale to me
But ordinary for the Austrians

I've been to Trappist monasteries
And Thai temples
And the San Francisco Zen Center
And the ocean alone

America began in genocide
All those tribes
Decimated
Reservations remain

Salmon today
Phone calls to my sons
Ice on my windshield
No nay never nay

        Callooh! Callay!
