    Imagine if Edvard Munch

      and Leonardo de Vinci

      were poets how would

     they convey no smile to

       a scream in literature ?


       News for the deaf is

       signed and mimed

              In silence.  


      Pictures can paint

      a thousand words.

  
      But the imagery of

     metaphor employs

        two mediums.


      Using charades

      and pursed lips,

   ventriloquists Munch

     becomes a nasal

            shriek.
