I do not need to tell you
that you may want to reconsider
how you auctioned off your heart
just to sell it to the lowest bidder

Why did you bring me back
to just replace me with a lesser man?
to then torture me one last time
and to do it just because you can?

You know it’s going to hit you
like a train in the night
and you won’t see me coming
because you’ve dimmed your own light

And if he’s what makes you happy
Why aren’t you letting me go?
Is it because he hasn’t got the glow
that can warm your hands in the snow?
