You asked me to draw you
Now, I wish I did

I'd start with your eyes
Dark and inquisitive
Brows ever ready to rise and fall in jest
To laugh or flirt or tell a long, long story

I'd draw your teeth
Split, like mine
Pearly white
And quick to smile

I'd draw your hands
Calloused and strong
From hard work
Building metal and stone

You asked me to draw you
And now I wish I did
For we were but a vapour
Here and gone, swift and sweet
