Magical Thought


Some people might call it

wishful thinking, fairytale,

fantasy, even dreamland.


Now is none of them, it’s a

dismal place to be, where

doldrums beat a death knell.


Magical thought is an arc

from past to future, never,

ever, pausing at the present.
