grandpa dressed as santa on a christmas eve
so in santa claus children would  believe
wore his santa hat sat them on his knee
and if they were good.  presents there would be

children gathered round to see.  santa sitting there
with his long white beard in his santa chair
lots and lots presents there to give away
so children would be happy on a christmas day

now in santa claus children they believe
they sat upon his knee on a christmas eve
santa he his happy now children know its true
each and every year santa comes to you
