states of mind

If it had not shone it would have shined and people lined the pavements to see if it was so,
see,
people who have nothing left to do and nowhere else to go will stand and wait which is just another state and they don't seem to mind.

I think it's
*******
but that is also another state of mind
and if
I wait to find out if that is true
because I've nowhere left to go
and nothing else to do
I'm no better than if I'd shined or shone
soon,
Wednesday will be gone
and I'll feel differently
or not.
