By the subway she stands
holding outstretched her hands
and people walk by
I see her, so why don't they

The old man laying by the curb
passer byes look at him in disgust
yet in his wallet cash with in god we trust
just a few dollar bills for this man has been mugged

See my friend, come look there
look at that frail old woman
would you wish her to be in youth again
or could you my siblings deny her

I am not trying to start a war
I don't care for destruction
so as one of soon to be no more
I do forward this mercy motion

Oh yes brothers and sisters of mine
as you know there is an end to this rhyme
help all a friends or strangers alike
with light all knowing ,keep up the fight
