The days seem to scatter
in your refracted gaze
I always seem to shatter
and find myself ablaze
but all seems too tired to taunt
everlasting swill, I'm ill and gaunt
nothing I speak but of your praise
I reach for your ending
I bend for your beach
but never seen your shore
tides turned, I've learned
we are
nevermore
