Hear me,
Don't speak,
Be still,

...

Let your vision blur,
Fade out and in,

Our thoughts and feelings flow,
A cool and glassy stream,

There is peace and stillness deep within,
Inner calm manifested by surrender,

A breath, a breeze, a gentle puff of wind,
The light hovering over and endless plain,

Simply content to be,
Without expectation or wants,

Suspended in an ocean of nothing,
Being neither held nor pushed,

A state of relaxation birthed from chaos,
Like a sheet has been pulled back,

The noise carries on, the screaming all around,
But hidden in a chasm beneath is peace,

A field and ideal plain of endless flowers,
Blooming and swaying with each breath,

Each petal is perfect and each one gleaming,
In the warm shining of the sunset,

The kaleidoscope of colors above,
And the reflection from the sea below,

As your senses are lulled with idyllic scenery,
Let your consciousness slip, as into a dream,

Aware of the wild outside,
A torrent rages and beats against your walls,

But safe within you stand and calmly watch,
Anxiety melts like wax and you're left with conscious thought,

Smile to yourself and realize where you are,
Weigh your options and renew your vigor,

Consider your values and morals,
Steel your nerves and steady your hand,

As you emerge from your within,
Hold to your decisions, and to this thought,

What I am beneath, This refined and confident self,
I am not afraid to show to the world around me.
