The Poet
. David Hockney
By
The Poet
Eiffel's tower was inspired
by a guitar he saw in a shop
window, which wasn’t a blues.
His iron work is abbreviated
with rivets, 1.2 million of them
and on top, an exclamation mark !
We can’t all paint David, but we
can temper our words on the same
anvil, Gustave, must have, used.
