Depression is a dark room
A restless night
A cloudy day
A laundry basket
Full, untouched
A rising scale
A growing gut
Matted hair
An endless rut

Depression is the morning fog
Over an oval
On an early walk
I know it will pass, it always doe
Warmed away by the rising sun
