The white chalk
In the black board
Reducing in size
Spent its life parting knowledge

Akin to a candle
Burning itself to give light
At the hands of a teacher
Imparts knowledge sacrificing itself

The purpose it is used
Does not stay forever
Erased by an eraser
Invented to prevent its staying power

Helps the teacher
Helps the student
Helps build  education
Helps the institution

Unfairly compared to cheese
A malpractice by the traders
Centuries ago to increase quantity
Put  in bad light for no fault of it

Unfairly compared to cheese
A malpractice by the traders
Centuries ago to increase quantity
Put  in bad light for no fault of it

Serves its purpose
Doesn't discriminate others
Its usefulness and its presence
Used like a ladder only to be not missed later

To be emulated
Sacrificed and not
commonerated
Birthplace of erudition
Impartial the world is an learned  place

Rivers Oceans the Sun and The stars
Used as examples of how selfless you are
Alphabets already written for the next generation
Add the Chalk to your gratitude list
