What if all I got was this life?
And it’s still not enough?
What if all the lights die slowly,
And let me stay in the dark alone?
What if I was a light to be lit,
And a fire sent to burn everything down?
Would you still let me be the ink that fills your chapters?
Would you still hold my flame so it doesn’t disappear in the night?
Would you still reach out and let my fire burn your fears?
Coz darling, I’m made of paper and steel
No matter what, I’ll always hold you still
In this life and the next one.

Love,
Love.
