Going or staying,
choices
weighed on the scales of
what if and why not,

stumbling through a crowd of decisions
holding onto the handrails
bumbling along,

going or staying becomes a song,
a ****** one but most are,
you learn the words anyway
because one day
they may come in useful
for instance
when you're planning on praying
going or staying
but not today.

Summer is coming along nicely
the sun's almost ready to give us
her all,
staying and making
cucumber sandwiches,
dining on the beach
watching as the refineries
bleach the sand white
everything
everything's such a delight,

then going but knowing
tomorrow will come
watching as the morning sky
pops out the sun.
