The desolate, dark forest
My brain used to be
Is now so bright and lovely
I’ve come really far
Healing, breathing again
Forgiving and forgetting
Pain, destruction and loss
Are now in the past
I’m glad those didn’t last
A garden of buoyancy and light
Peaking through, breaking away
All of the noises and bad moments
So happiness can stay
