Offshoot arms encased in verglas
Sink with the weight of their own skin
Bound and confined by the frigid breath of the wind

Petrified branches peer stilly at the frozen grass

Holding tightly fearing they will lose their grasp

Spurs of ice gleam over the encased sprigs

They fear their future will shattering like glass twigs
