I just had dinner
At a time table

It was served at
Noon on the dot.

That was imperative
On the invite.

There was a sun
Dial in the centre

Four meridian legs
With an equator

The menu had
Carpe Diem

Tempus fugit
And punctual paste

An outmoded
Waiter served

Minute steaks
For the carnivores

Simultaneous
Sandwiches

Were filled with
Pulse & dates

Prime rhyme
Came at intervals

Everything was
Seasoned with

Second helpings
On the tic

Mature beats
Were synchronised

At the same event
And came concurrently

With spasmodic
Piecemeal

On a musty crusty
Out worn *****

Every so often a
Periodic interval

Two shakes of in
A sec jiffy juice

Was what Jack
Robinson had

A snap schedule
Was in a wink

And a promptly
Taken starter

Was frequently
Repeated

With a bang
On measure

Now and then
Spot on

By the Count's
Stopwatch

Knell, his lady
Was the cook.
