Winter comes like a thwarted bride
dispensing her sullen linen
snow sunken ha ha's
meeting Jack Russell mid bark
laughing at the hubris of the fallen leaves
with shadowed pavements
Oval Moon
stripped trees like painted black pylons
Hard clumpy soil
Stark Raven searching scavenged food
no velvet fields
