Oh Lord please forgive me
if perhaps I should see negativities
which I completely miss
please forgive me
if perhaps I should take things
more seriously rather than laughing
at the ridiculous antics of
some fellow humans
I promise to try not to tickle their catastrophe
or indulge their pettiness
please Lord I pray that you give them wisdom
and understanding
and you ease their angst and shame
and teach them that thievery is not a good thing
