Dec 2021
She comes from afar
She lives overseas
She has for some time
She speaks differently
But that’s okay
She came for a reason
The nazarene

Every morning
She walks up the street
To visit a café
For coffee and croissant
To run errands
The nazarene

While she sits
She writes
Poetry
If the muse are there
She listens to music
She watches the people
She listens
The nazarene

She watches the city
As she walks
She has a strident step
She passes shops
Pharmacies
Bakeries
Hotels
People selling their wares
The nazarene
