DITCH
Old man walking way side
Carrying some debris beside
Habit in play
Muscle memory aids in sway
Throws it in a ditch
As though it were a football pitch
A roadside vendor selling coconuts
Makes his living on the streets
Earning peanuts
His house the platform
Maintains it true to form
Tall and well built
Pounced on the old man who was out of his wits
Threatened the Sire
Of consequences fire
Collar clenched in his wrist
Remove the garbage his wish
Taken aback and stunned
Couldn't defend his act reasons none
Public place after all he moaned
Will **** you the dweller bemoaned
Step by step into the ditch
Elder suffered every bit
Risky affair for his advanced age
Unfortunately he'd committed the first mistake
Watching by the wayside
I cursed my cowardice
Crisis of Conscience my mental state
Watched in silence the entire escapade
Weaker but the wrongdoer
Stronger but the bully
On whose side would have stood Bruce Lee
In all my wisdom it points towards the elderly
