Dec 2021
Since meeting you
Haven’t made
Much time to write
And to share with you
Can’t find
The one I would like
To express what it’s like
To in just a few days
Shift away from the doldrums
Of dreary malaise
To elation,
Excitement,
And eager sanguinity
Finding someone
Who can share
My affinity
For what a simple
Arrangement of words
Can bestir in two hearts
Thrumming like
Hummingbirds
