I can breathe
I can breathe
The air that's pushing out from my diaphragm
Is humid and labored
I can breathe
The blood circulating to my hands
Stops at the leather around my wrist
Animal skin is not the only contact on mine

I can breathe
I used to tie cherry stems with my tongue
Now I bite it as ropes tighten
A second ribcage around my chest
A necklace around my throat
The carcass kiss of summer dripping
Warm wax on my thighs

I can breathe
Breathe into me
Your love, devotion, possession
Fill my senses
Tighter

I can breathe
