Within contractual work employees are entitled to have certain times of leave e.g.
Compassionate leave
Parental leave
Maternity leave
Annual leave
Adjustment leave for people should be something that is offered in contract. These days should be able to be taken in a flexible manner according to the individual's circumstances. Which I don't feel should have to be explained in detail. Just like booking annual leave, adjustment leave should be able to be requested.
Self Employed
If you are self-employed you will have to ensure that filtering adjustment leave if needed into your schedule, is undertaken even if it is certain hours or days off.
