I must be in denial.
I chose this for myself
And for you.
But if I saw you from across the room
I wouldn’t be able to look away.
And if I saw you on the street
I’d run and wrap my arms around you.
And if I saw you with another
I would freeze.
And remember.
And force myself to cross the street.
And force myself to look away.
I chose this for you
And for myself.
I must be in denial.
