Hushed streets at midnight
          not a soul awake..
blackened windows,
          a neighbourhood in slumber
nocturnal breeze rustles the
                                   sidewalk trees
small dandelions
                    shiver and tremble
We saunter quietly
                      down the lonely lane
sharing 3am thoughts
                       and listening to the stars,

they twinkle but all that's heard is a faint -
                         Crickets' creak,

in a Silent world, untroubled after dark.
