oracular
i can't know
my artifice of kneeling doesn't change the fact
at Delphi
gasping words
from wide silken eyes
mating doubt and trust
in seizmic gnosis
fissures claim
even olive sky
freefalling streambeds
tossed
chests of gold heave
spill with ******* lovers
mingle debts
and portents laid
denuded
over cool marble
shimmered under earthquake suns

ἓν οἶδα ὅτι οὐδὲν οἶδα
Hèn oîda hóti oudèn oîda
"I know one thing, that I know nothing"
Socrates, paraphrased from Plato's Apology.
