There is a monkey on fire
watch his fists beat the dust
look into his eyes
I think the fellow means it

He would love to tear you
limb by limb he'd destroy you
he's a rather angry little feller
that chap, that monkey on fire

Good God look at him go
he has just made a machine gum
out of stones and sticks
oh what a clever little chimp

He puts on a pink hat
he seems to like that
love is all he desires
for this monkey on fire
