Hard to decipher how you feel
Admire your poker face
Cannot see past your blank expression
Make sure there is no trace

Work to match aloofness
You won't notice I care
Underneath my cautious mask
Gasping for air

Beats of heart pound in my ear
Blood rushes under my skin
Sounds so loud from my perspective
Swear noise fills room we're in

Talent is acting like past never happened
Wearing indifference like cheap cologne
How dare you sit there talking to me
As if friends is all we've ever known
