An ocean between us
but how can you see this?
our roots are torn up like trees in a storm
I sit on the shoreline everyday
til the sun it sets
looking for
breaks in the waves and the clouds

but if I could make it to you
you'd be the last thing on my mind
my head would be filled with
the thoughts of saying goodbye
cause every sun has to set
and everyone leaves eventually
but my heart wont forget
what you meant, or what you mean

An ocean between us
and now you can see
how the wind it has blown
us farther apart
but some days are brighter
with blue in the skies
forgetting were sitting
on different shores
