Building a future,
One where I fit,
Not that things were bad,
I guess I slipped.
Gave in to the un-doer,
With a vision of freedom,
With an open sky to fly,
Bound to the ground without wings,
I never quite forget you amidst the chaos.
Those memories are ours,
Not just yours or mine,
I still look up hoping to find you,
Someday you’ll take me away.
