I’m a fixer up
borderline condemned before
to livable now

I’m comfortable
working on final touches
what a difference

For all who gave up
on me and my past baggage
I cannot blame you

Your desire to quit
really spoke volumes to me
but it still hurts now

My heart, mind and soul
are no longer made from straw
nor are they from sticks

My remodeled life
has slowly, one by one been
constructed with bricks
