I shed no tears of longing
drink no sour wine of remorse
bring me no lyre to pluck vibes of despair
gift me no tales of broken hearts in splendid suns
nor throw false tales of shattered hearts and love misplaced

if love finds me no more
it would be for a distaste for truth
and that is unknown to love as I know it
for in loving true, honest melodies of the hearts sings
will I promise the moon and a thousand silvery stars
when I am but he whoΒ Β in honour and sincerity will only do truths

love me now or love me not
if a mind know right it does little wrong
but perchance the glib tongues dance merry dances
twirling and whirling the giddy minds who sees not far
so shed me no tears for in pristine truth all of me is loved by all of me
