Waking up today
Grateful for everything
That happened till yesterday
From my heart I say

The good and the bad
Makes me who I am
I consider myself blessed
In this lifes contest

Misdeeds requiring admonition
Forgiven and forgotten
Wrong paths chosen but destination reached that of protection

Monetary security incompatible
Money earned not relatable
Shortage of money
An experience never understandable

Providing me food
When in need
A roof above my head
Along with a sense of pride

Friends taking interest
Forgoing my trespasses
Treating as an equal
Kind and modest

Alcohol and the rest
Should have made me rest
Permanently and would have  been the best
For family friends and the rest

Giving me chances
To understand my mistakes
Start analyzing my life
Inception from incompetence laid to rest

Another shot at living life not at odds
Learning and transcending the faults
The seeker within awakening the soul
New path towards a new goal

A new career path
From nowhere got
Last chance it was
To redeem my lot

Not repeat the same
Twice is a shame
Strive for name and fame
Best shot given in the new game

Grateful forever
All that I got
And that awaits

Feeling of compassion
Shown in my direction
Without any judgment
