He doesn’t kiss me the way he used to
Which is understandable
He is in pain, and so was I
But I want it back
That way he kisses me
It made my whole body melt
I could taste it for hours after-
The soft glow-
Even as I drifted to sleep
Those nights felt like eternity
The ghost of his mouth full of butterflies in my loneliness memory
...
I’ll write this
In hopes
He’ll forgive me
