Don’t judge a fractious soul,
It’s made of flame and sparks
And even at the North Pole
It’ll light a million torches in the dark.

We’ll not be harnessed and, moreover, tamed
With someone else’s reins.
That someone ought to hang their head in shame
And have our legs unchained.

No one is to decide
What’s right for me or wrong.
I am a fractious soul and care not a snap
For your opinion after all.
