If the union men win
against Amazon's vision,

if officer Chauvin
is charged for murdering
George Floyd,

if we can avoid
an economic crisis
and instead rise to face this
corruption and greed
versus human need
with dignity and compassion,

it doesn't seem like much
that I'm asking
if people could just stop basking
in their own stupidity.
