and when the person's gone,
Their eyes pour fake rain.

"Learn to say no"
"Stand up for yourself"
written on walls and in slogans
but when one does,
they call it
"attitude problem"

In a mentality where still
virginity and money
decides one's status in society,
where issues like ****
make the victim feel guilty,
where there are only empty words
and false sympathy,
how can anyone believe,
'I can be me' ?

We fight this storm daily,
We're in a constant fight inside,
We pretend, we smile, welaugh,
But from our own shadows,
we hide...

They say,
the world has changed,
but have they really accepted?
