When my Aunt Bonnie died
I went outside and cried

I was in Florida then
Had not yet heard of Zen

Alone on the empty street
Tears from my eyes onto my feet

Childhood memory
Her caring smile to see

Still flickers in my mind
Beautiful, gentle, kind

Emptiness they say
Is fullness another Way

In Ohio the mystic ah!
Snowfall shunyata
